What is the difference between polenta and cornmeal
Sam is a trusted home cook.
About 6.50 a plate.
They are basically the same thing - the key factor is how the finely the cornmeal is ground.. Polenta and grits are made from a more coarsely ground cornmeal. Cornbread (say) is usually made from a finer ground cornmeal.
