I bought fresh asparagus and sugar snap peas. Can I blanch them and then freeze them to use later?

Yes, freezing just kills all of the flavor. These things should be eaten at their peak of freshness. You might think about pickling but freezing, ick!

I wouldn't blanch the asparagus, they turn rubbery and lack a significant amount of flavor when not consumed fresh!

Yes, but why? These vegetables should be eaten fresh--their texture is a huge part of their appeal.

Yes, of course! Blanch, cool, then either pack them in plastic and remove as much air as you can, and freeze. Or freeze them on trays and then pack.
