A question about a recipe: Sardine Butter

How many days sardine butter last in the fridge.  Recipe says quite a while.  Please be more specific.

We continued to eat it a week after I made it, although it does tend to lose some of it's flavor the longer you keep it around.

I would imagine it would be fine for at least a week, and you could certainly make it ahead and freeze it if you wanted it to last for a VERY long time. How long do you need it to last?
