Stuffed grape leaves, an orzo salad, fruit salad (but deviate from the usual cast of characters), carrot salad, watermelon feta mint salad, homemade chips.
Wild rice and brown rice---maybe with some orange slices and a dressing.
Fresh green beans--blanched and tossed in rosemary and garlic heated in a pan--and remove rosemary and garlic--toss the crispy beans to warm through, add bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Homemade potato chips.
A mixed green salad. Maybe something with a Orange Vinaigrette dressing, and walnuts if you don't use those in the chicken salad. Or use some of above mentioned wild rice or brown rice.
and oatmeal cookie would be nice to finish.
Something that doesn't repeat the creamy element of chicken salad. So forget the potato salads.
