I always like mix slivered green onions, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, pinch brown sugar, rice wine vinegar, and a few turns of white pepper in a small bowl. In a small pot, heat 1/4 cup olive oil till the surface shimmers. Pour hot oil mixture onto the green onions mixture. It should sizzle and slightly wilt the green onions. Spoon the sauce over veggies/tofu/grain. I also like to mix this over cooked Chinese egg noodles. My ultimate comfort food!

I think that this super herby pesto vinegar sauce In a recent Bon appetit was good.

Teriyaki sauce would work. Black bean sauce as well.

Miso, butter, and a little brown sugar are a nice combo with a veg/tofu rice bowl kind of thing.
