I'm freezing one of my last pesto batches in ice cube trays and am wondering if it needs a layer of olive oil before freezing? Thanks!

theres no need as long as you made the pesto with enough oil there no need to worry

The oil on top prevents freezes burn seals ot

I think there should be enough oil in the pesto that you will be ok. Can always spray with some cooking spray.
