Can I make mashed potatoes the night before? If so, what's the best way to heat them up

yes, you can definitely make them the night before. reheat gently the next day on the stove, or in the microwave. Also, depending on how much the potatoes have thickened overnight, add a little extra liquid.

You can make them the night before. Gently re-heat over a double boiler
