Too much adobo chili

I'm making chicken soup for my sick husband and I and added way too much adobo chilis! I realized after they'd been in the broth for a while. I just took them out but the flavor is still there. I don't want to add too much water. Is there anything I can do to salvage it?

Do you have any potatoes or rice around. Adding either to the soup should help a bit.
