I had a really cheap Sunbeam for years. When it bit the dust last year, I got a Nesco (American Harvest) 700 watt, with temperature controls. It works really well -- and really works during the summer. If you decide on this brand, you may want to get additional mesh liner and solid liner sheets. You can find this and other dehydrators at good prices on Amazon.
