Yes, we either grill or pan sear steaks (high heat) about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare and then let it rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting or serving. If it is a thick cut, say over 1" I would add a little more time. The meat should gently give when poked with a finger. I would bring the meat out of the fridge for 30-60 minutes prior to cooking though.
