do baby turnips need to be peeled?

I've never peeled them. But I've always bought them not only at the Greenmarket, but always from the same farmer! They are so young and fresh I wasn't aware they had a "skin!" I was introduced to them to eat raw! They are quite sweet.

Not necessarily, especially if they are very small. Scrub them really well and they should be ok
