slab pie

If you had a horrible accident with your berries from the farmers market, would you use frozen ones in pie? How would you adjust the thickening agent? Will I be sacrificing quality to the point that its not even worth it? Ive only previously used frozen berries in smoothies and the like

It's better to use the frozen berries rather than thawing them. I would add your seasoning mixture to the frozen fruit and toss it into the pie shell and bake. Here is a recipe:

Frozen berries can work fine in a pie. Just completely defrost them before you measure how much you need. Defrost them on a cooling rack over a sheet tray so excess liquid doesn't accumulate
