I'm going on a road trip on Tuesday of next week. What are some quick snacks that I can just put into a zip-lock bag and pack?

I usually bring cut up veggies as well as sandwich makings like sliced lunch meat and bread (and I grab some to go mayo and other condiments from gas stations - shhhh!). Agree on nuts and dried fruit. Mostly I try to not have to rely too much on eating at restaurants because you might end up in a food wasteland!

Here are some ideas: http://food52.com/blog/7251-community-picks-road-trip-snacks. Cut-up fruit and vegetables are always good, as are mixed nuts, dried fruit, and these: http://food52.com/recipes/22107-five-minute-no-bake-vegan-granola-bars
