I have a question about the recipe "Smoky Fried Chickpeas" from Aliwaks. This sounds wonderful! I wonder what can be served with this as the main dish...

A mild fish like a tilapia, sole or flounder pan fried. Grilled hangar steak would also be nice
Monita, good idea. We are not vegetarians--especially my husband, who's a meat and potato guy who will eat mostly anything, so long there is one meat involved! Thanks for the suggestions.

I think OP wants to serve the chick peas as the main dish. They don't seem adequate for that. Perhaps with a vegetable fried rice, they could share the stage. Then, some sauteed greens with garlic would be a good texture and color contrast.
