Can I substitute 1/2 melted butter and 1/2 cup oil in apple cake recipe that calls for 1cup oil?

Butter has about 20% water so technically speaking
1 cup butter (2 sticks) is equivalent to about 3/4 cup oil. However, I would think
your substitution will be ok.
