If you mean how to cream the butter with the sugar, let the butter soften by removing from the refrigerator for an hour or so; speed the process by cutting up the butter. Place in the mixing bowl, and with the beaters, paddle attachment (preferred) or a wooden spoon, blend to soften. Add sugar, beat until fluffy.
If you mean you want to turn cream into butter, you can shake it in a chilled glass jar, past the whipped cream stage it will turn into butter (separating from the liquid).
