I spilled olive oil all over the bottom of my stove, smoking up my kitchen. How do I clean up?

I tried cleaning with windex once cool, and the dark stain didn't go away.

I would make a paste with water and baking soda or, depending on the material (test for safety in an inconspicuous spot), Bon Ami or Bar Keeper's friend. Then scrub with a scrubbie that won't scratch your material either. That should do the trick!
