Technically it's not really possible as the real thing uses ton's of egg, butter and cheese. It was invented in Rome back in the thirties but even the Romans don't eat it anymore. Maybe take some consolation in that about the only place that serves it anymore is Olive Garden. Some dishes just can't be veganized with any success.
Try putting into your blender...1/2 lb of silken firm tofu, 2T veg. broth, 1t or more of Italian seasoning with onion powder, 1T of vegan margarine and 2T of soy parmesan.
Whizz away.
Pour onto pasta.
