With salmon I would be concerned about the meat freezing, thawing, freezing, thawing and the meat turning mushy. Was it bought fresh or frozen. Here on the wet coast we simply put it in the fridge, wrapped. Use within 24 hours. You can use it later but it will continually loose firmness and flavor.

If you have a regular refrig., make sure you store the salmon in the rear left corner, the coldest part of your frig.,which is where
we store all our meat, poultry, deafood.

Refrigerated on a LOT of ice, both under and over the fish, with the ice refreshed every 12 hours, it could last two days. (Personally after 24 hours on ice, I would freeze it.) If you don't have a lot of ice and good refrigeration, don't keep it for more than 24 hours. Cat food.
