when to put meatballs in the tomato sauce

Hello. I just fried up some mini meatballs for 5 minutes on the stovetop. Tomorrow, I am going to make a quick pomodoro sauce (total cooking time about 45 minutes). At what point, should I throw in the meatballs to finish cooking/flavor sauce? Thanks!

They are probably pretty much cooked from the frying because they are mini meatballs. I'd add them to the simmering sauce for the last 20 minutes or so of cooking, more to flavor the sauce than to cook the meat further.
