Thank you, everyone who posted. I got a Zojirushi. Your advice was much appreciated.

Zojirushi is what I've used in the past. I didn't get one after moving to Australia as it just don't want to spend $200+ for a rice cooker. I now have a Cuisinart rice cooker that also has slow cooker, risotto and sear functions. It's been working well for me.

I actually braved the YET MORE SNOW to go buy one. Thanks everyone.

My Zojirushi fuzzy logic is more than 20 years old. Works great.
