why is it called Food52? and I love it! no matter what!

Does anyone else remember Food Pickle??? That was my first taste.

It occurred to me to check the About Us page. "Since we started Food52 (we cook 52 weeks a year, get it?), millions of cooks and eaters have found their way to the site."

Thanks Becky! I thought it might be poetic or a literary reference but I bet you are right. And no matter what, I love it!

I just assumed it was related to 52 weeks in the year so essentially 'food everyday'.
