I agree with the soft brush method, but since I am lazy, I simply rub off as much as I can with my hands and then cook.
Over the years (decades) I have done this, I am still alive !

use a rubber band, a thick one is good. stretch it between yr fingers & run it down the cob a time or 2. Voila!, no more hairs.

Cut a small slice off the stem end of un-husked ear of corn. Put a few ears in microwave on high for 30 seconds. The husk and silk should come off more easily. Then cook corn as desired.
By the way, where are you getting corn on the cob right now?! I'd like some of that!

I go with Monita. Either a little nail brush or a NEW UNUSED soft scrub sponge, brushing the corn under cold running water works like a charm.

They make a soft brush. It's about $2 at a kitchen store. I love mine and it cleans mushrooms too.

A nail brush or a soft dish brush can be effective to remove remaining silks
