I don't know about "best," but last year I got my nephew this one:
Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: The Big Book of Everyday Slow Cooking. This one looks good also: Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Cookbook. Both are available from amazon.com.
(And the creamiest, too.)
