Do you mean on the stove-top? I think it would be softer - the oven firms up the top and also makes it sliceable - not sure it would do that on the stove - but there's only one way to know for sure - do it and let us know if it works!!!
I did--using a steamer on the stove-top, and you're right. The inside was soft and I had to scoop it with a spoon. No problem with the taste. Thanks for the response...
