I'm going to travel for 7 weeks, how can I keep alive my water and milk kefir in the fridge?

I googled and it says for taking longer than a 3 week break, you shouldrinse the grains with filtered water, lay them out on an unbleached parchment paper and dry them out for 3-5 days. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 6 months.
