short term rhubarb storage

We just need to keep it for 3 days and wonder should we leave it whole or cut it in small pieces, to wash or not to wash,

I keep it whole, wrap in a damp kitchen towel, and store it in the fridge. This way it stays fresh.

Leave it whole and don't wash. Keep in fridge. Or clean, cut into chunks, place in ziplock bag and freeze (can stay like that for up to a year)
