How much walleye should I buy for two people? One being a man that eats way more than me. Also what's a great sauce?

Thanks for the answers. Yes I'm in Ontario. So there is plenty of pickerel. Well it so happens I had cod in the freezer so I'm going to steam that with a white wine butter sauce mmmmm

Aaaa, walleye. You lucky girl! You must be in the Upper Midwest, as we surely never see walleye here in New York. Much depends upon what else you are serving. And how much you both love walleye. When I'm preparing fish for just the two of us, I get 12-16 ounces of fish. 6 ounces is the usual serving size, but if your guy eats really a lot, and/or really loves walleye, you might want to get an ounce or two more.
Personally I prefer walleye very simply cooked because I LOVE the flavor of that fish. I would just salt and (white) pepper it, spritz lemon or lime juice, and finish it with a drizzle of really good olive oil. However, if you really want a delicious sauce (so good you could eat it with a spoon!) Check this site for Amanda Hesser's Salsa Verde. It's simply divine.

I usually buy 6 ounces for myself and eight ounces for my husband.
