Looking for a mincemeat receipe that was in a Bob Appetit magazine in th 70's or early 80's. It uses sliced apples when you make a pie with it.

HI. The recipe is in the November 1977 issue (page 38)

I am traveling but when I get back I will submit it if you haven't found it already.

I couldn't find the Bon Appetit recipe but here's one that seems to have the components you're looking for:

There's a recipe on Epicurious called Mock Mincemeat Pie from Bon Appetit 2009. It uses fresh apples.

No, not it. Uses suet, beef, liquor, and lots of different fruits to ferment in a crock for a while…then you add sliced apples to part of the mix for true mincemeat pie.
I know I got it in the 70's. We moved in the early 80's and I lost the recipe. I so want to find it again…the only mincemeat pie I ever liked!

See this one from Bon Appetit 1991. You do know about epicurious as a repository for Gourmet/Bon Apppetit recipes? http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Modern-Mince-Pie-2694
