A diabetic family member asked me to make diabetis-friendly gravlax. That means no sugar! I couldn't find anything online. Any ideas?

If a small amount of sugar would be acceptable, this recipe only calls for 1.5 tablespoons of sugar for 2 pounds of salmon: https://food52.com/recipes...
