Podcast listeners! I need your help: What are some of your favorite food-themed podcast episodes? The podcasts themselves need not be food-themed.

Splendid Table just did an episode on women in cooking - very interesting and inspiring (even to someone who is an environmental scientist and not in the food scene at all!)

Many of the food-themed podcasts from the Commonwealth Club are highly enlightening. The Commonwealth Club is a general interest public affairs forum, not a food-focused group.

They cover topics ranging from agriculture, politics, nuclear power, AIDS, whatever and feature anyone from baseball managers to Nobel laureates. This may be the finest public affairs podcast in the spoken English language.

Burnt Toast, America's Test Kitchen, The Splendid Table and Gastro Pod :)

I listen to America's Test Kitchen radio, but I haven't really explored other ones.

In addition to Burnt Toast (:)) I like Eater Upsell, especially episode with Michael Solomonov episode, and Radio Cherry Bombe, especially the one with Amanda Cohen.

I love the sporkful! It's a fun light type of podcast that explores every avenue of food (from really highbrow down to ballpark food).

The BBC Food Programme is terrific. As is The Kitchen Cabinet, also from BBC. I also love RN First Bite (Australian).

I also agree with Splendid Table. You learn so much about food, the origin of food and how to cook it properly. Plus, you get to learn about food you never heard about. Absolutely the best podcast on food there is in my opinion.

I listen to Fresh Air when it's on...

I really like the food podcasts Spilled Milk, And Eat it Too!, and (of course!) Burnt Toast.

Oh and there's a Fresh Air with Ruth Reichl that's great where Ruth talks about what an awful cook her mother was and Teri divulges how charmingly inept she is in the kitchen.

I like Andrew Zimmern's Go Fork Yourself. His latest "O Canada" was great. He's extremely candid and loose.
