Still no luck - there were 4 ingredients, chocolate, butter peanut butter and rice puffs. It was so simple and I have no idea of the store. Thanks for all the help!

You could just melt the butter and chocolate together, whisk in the PB and fold it into some rice cereal. Can't go wrong, really......

Smitten Kitchen has a peanut butter crispy bar recipe from Baked: New Frontiers in Baking. Sounds similar to what you are describing.

BakedNYC makes a bar with similar ingredients. Here's a recipe, which I believe is identical: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/10/peanut-butter-crispy-bars/ . I would highly recommend their books if you like down-to-Earth treats with a touch of childhood nostalgia.

Thank you - it was in an email from Food52 and I have no idea the name of the chocolate shop. Searched Food52 100 ways from Sunday trying to find.

Are you positive it was from here? I often could swear something was from here and when I do a Google search, it ends up being Smitten Kitchen or some other resource that I use. Also, it's sometimes easier to use Google when searching for Food 52 recipes. I looked, but didn't see anything like what you are describing. You might want to send the editors an email. They'll help find it if it's on Food52. [email protected]

Is this something you've made from this site? Or just a craving? If you have the name of this mystery chocolate shop, you can use Google. Include the store's name and stick "copycat recipe" at the end. There are tons of food bloggers out there who make it their mission to come up with versions of favorite foods from restaurants, bakeries and stores.

Maybe your likelihood of getting a helpful answer would improve if you actually named the store in question?
