Can you freeze cornbread? Have bbq and love do in advance

Yes! Cornbread freezes well. Just let it cool completely and wrap it really well.

Do you cook in cast iron? I assume cool on a rack without the pan so it doesn't dry out.

And thaw in the fridge. If you thaw out on the counter, previously frozen cornbread has a tendency to become very dry.
