can spinach madeline be made in a crock pot rather than baked in the oven?

We have a large crowd for thanksgiving and lots of dishes have to be cooked in the oven. Would spinach madeline be ok to cook in a crock pot, or even bake in the oven then transfer to crock pot to keep warm?

I had never heard of this dish before, but I googled it. I think that if you baked it in the earthenware crock and set it on the heating mechanism to keep warm, you could probably manage it this way.
