I made the bacon jam for brussel sprouts, but it's VERY thick, although realiy tasty. What to do??

Thanks, I hoped that might be the case!

Hey Janet! What's the end goal for the dish? Will they both be tossed together? I'd think that your bacon jam will loosen up a little when combined with warm sprouts, but if you share your jam's ingredients (and the end goal), I might be able to help further.

When you heat it it should get runnier or you could dilute it with water, stock, butter (which will get runny when you warm it), or a sweetener like maple syrup if you think it can handle a bit more sweetness. I think I would reach for the chicken stock or water. But warm it before you thin it so you can see the actual consistency. BTW, Bacon Jam is GREAT on burgers!

Thanks, that's what I was thinking.
