Hi Robin, we'd recommend not stuffing the bird and and baking off your stuffing separately -- you'll have more control over the dish that way. You can add the turkey drippings to the stuffing after if you want that same flavor! If you want to stuff the turkey and have some to bake outside, I'd probably double your recipe to be safe.
