I have no intention on eating it, but I do have to say it was so very odd. The glaze was honey and peaches on the turkey,so perhaps that spoiled and then fermented. If you ever opened a watermelon that went bad and it was bubbling and hissing, that was my soup, very very weird. I just wanted to see if anyone knew scientifically what might have happened, thank you very much. I read perhaps it spoiled and started to build bacteria and made gas. who knows but it was odd.......

I really don't what is going on but it really doesn't sound right to me so I wouldn't risk eating it. If it was pre-made glaze there probably were some stabilizers in it that might react with the acid from the tomatoes (and I am guessing here) but fizzing isn't a normal reaction (at least not in my cooking) so I agree with Nancy. Disappointing yes, but better to be safe.

For about 33 hours, Friday 6 am to about Saturday 3pm EST (time of your question), the soup was in an unsafe temperature zone (higher than refrigerated 40C or 4F, and lower than boiling).
For safe eating, USDA recommends no more than two hours in that zone.
I don't know exactly what's happening to the soup, but I would be worried enough to chuck it out.

Sorry, got my numbers reversed. That should have been 40F or 4C.

could it have been fermenting,or building bacterial gases ,or botulism?????
