how long does vanilla beans and Vodka last?

I've had vanilla beans in a mason jar with vodka on my pantry shelf since 4/2012 is it still good to use? I used some over time but I have just under half a qt. left in the jar.

I've had my bottle for several years.  When it gets low, I add a few more vanilla beans and top it off with more vodka.
