KOMBUCHA : My 1st batch starter scoby sank day later it rose looks like new is growing but one I started with is turning brown do I remove it?

Unless it's spots of brown, it sounds like a healthy scoby. Here's a great site with pictures of healthy and not so healthy scoby.
