Thanks for your help. I think that I will call Purcell Murray(disributors) and ask for a name of a repairman for La Cornue. It is a gorgeous stove BUT it is French!
I'd call tech support at customer service. I've had great success with all of the manufacturers of the appliances in my kitchen (and elsewhere in the house) when I haven't been able to trouble shoot a problem on my own using the manual. It's a good idea to be able to call them from a phone that you can use while you're standing next to the appliance, preferably with a headset so you can use both hands. Good luck! ;o)
You could try finding the circuit breaker for the oven. Turn it off and leave it at least 30 mins. The longer the better.
That might force a automatic reset when it's powered back up.
Oh yeah...the manual probably wouldn't that info. It would be the service schematics.
When my dishwasher froze up..I was able to force it into a diagnostic mode, and discovered It was a stuck key..there was a nifty grid there with the info and error codes. That was located behind the kickplate.
I found the manual for the 120 online as a downloadable PDF here:

That said, in searching the manual for the word "reset" it seems to only talk about a reset for the electronic ignitor for the gas oven. Then again, you're a bit more motivated to find the answer in there so maybe you'll have better luck? ;-)
Usually it's some type of "Vulcan Nerve Pinch" sequence of holding down buttons on the control panel.
The schematic is probably in a envelope taped someone on the over..maybe on the bottom if you remove the pan tray or kick-plate, or on the back. You'd have to pull it to look with a flashlight tho. Or just remove the pan tray and check on the bottom of that and inside.
It *should* have the magic sequence there or the location of the reset button.
