My mom's meatloaf always included an 8 oz can of plain tomato sauce mixed with the bread crumbs. No egg, no milk. We always loved it but the end product does not really slice if that is important.

The short answer: yes, you can make a meatloaf without the egg.

Here's a thread from the archives: https://food52.com/hotline/3846-i-don-t-have-an-egg-for-meatloaf-what-can-i-use

Good ideas for what to use if you don't have eggs. I've tried them all and gelatin is my go-to add in for meatloaf now.
