rhubarb/berry pie filling to runny, added flour but now can taste to much flour

Did you cook the filling again after adding the flour? The flour will not thicken the filling without being cooked.

Possibly/probably too late for this batch.
See King Arthur Flour site for a good article on our filling thickeners...advantages of some specialty products (e.g., instant clear gel) ie pre-mixing flour with the fruit.

Sorry...answer slightly garbled. The article at KAT helps by suggesting both ingredients & techniques to thicken pie fillings.
