I have a buttercream frosting recipe that calls for one tablespoon of maple syrup. Can I substitute maple extract for the maple syrup and how much?

Hi Priscilla, I would make a maple extract simple syrup and use a tablespoon of that. Try mixing 1/4 cup of sugar with 1/8 cup of water and slowly add extract starting at 1/8 tsp until you think it tastes similar.
