My butternut squash doesn't taste good

I roasted cubes of butternut squash in olive oil and maple syrup but they didn't brown, but are too tender to keep cooking. They haven't retained the seasoning or maple taste. H

Turn it into soup. Add seasoning to taste, a little chicken broth, maybe?

I'd turn them into a mash, and season to taste. For future, what temp did you use, how crowded was the pan, and where did you position the oven rack?

Hardlikearmour has a good point. When you roast veggies it should be at high heat (over 400) and if the pieces are too crowded they will steam and not brown.
