cooking class in NYC for beginner friend?

Looking for a recommendation for a great cooking class in NYC. I have an old friend, now a mother, who is eager to get better at putting dinner on the table. She has never been a cook and is trying to figure it out on her own. Best classes for someone like her? TIA!
