Is 2 tbsp of rapid rising yeast too much for 4 cups of flour? I’m trying to make dinner buns and they keep deflating as I remove them from the oven.

2 TB yeast for 4 cups of flour seems like a lot even for sweet rich dough like these rolls that you describe. A link to the recipe would be great. It could be typo.

That does seem like a lot of yeast for 4 cups of flour. What recipe are you using? Sharing it might help folks figure out what's going on.

It is a sweet bun recipe. I made them again using only one package of yeast, which is 2 1/2 tsp and success! Only after the third attempt did my sister tell me she got the recipe from Pinterest 😳. It makes 12 buns, small ones, but they are quite tasty. Thanks for replying!

So happy to hear they turned out well after the 3rd attempt! :)
