Shrimp and Lemon
I peeled rinsed my raw shrimp added salt and pepper and decided to squeeze a little lemon juice in too and sat in fridge for an hour before I read that that is a bad idea and can make them mushy or cook them....so I hurried up and rinsed them in cold water and returned to bowl in fridge. I wasn’t planning on cooking until my husband got home from work tonight....will they be ok until then or did they soak lemon and I have to cook now to salvage?

If you let shrimp sit too long in lemon juice you basically make ceviche ;) which will make a weird texture once cooked
