Small table-top bread slicer

I'm looking for a frame-type guide for slicing bread. I have a plastic one (see picture) but it bends, so the slices aren't even. I use it not only for bread but for slicing eggplant. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Here are some bamboo ones which look like they can hold a whole loaf, or most of one, anyway. Have noticed them in passing but not used, so I have no report on how well (or not) they work. A start, anyway.
