longevity of pre-baked tart in fridge

i made a sweet tart dough and pre-baked it. i put it in the fridge but it's taken longer to get to it to add the filling. it has butter in it and a tablespoon of cream and an egg yolk. it pre-baked at high temperature for 15 mins. tarts can last quite a number of days in the fridge. i would think it's ok to finish the tart tomorrow. but it has been maybe 4-6 days since it was pre-baked. anyone think it's unsafe cuz of the egg yolk? Tx

If you baked that tart shell was for 15 minutes at a high temperature, and it has been in the fridge for 4-6 days, it will be fine, as far as food safety is concerned. The tart shell probably will get a touch soggy in that time period, so I would pop it into a 350 oven for 5-10 minutes - tenting it lightly if it is already dark - to dry the crust out and freshen it up, cool it fully after that, before adding the filling.

If the recipe calls for putting the tart back in the oven to bake it with the filling, just freshen it for 4-5 minutes, and only cool the shell if the recipe says to do so. ;o)
