On roasted butternut squash wedges (don't peel it, put the skin side down, make sure the oven is super hot) and red onions (put the red onion slices, tossed with oil and salt, on the hot roasting pan 15 minutes after the squash goes in); or in bean soups, or kale + potato + sausage soup, or as a base layer for a pizza that has not tomato sauce. Slather on grilled chicken, right at the end of grilling. Sage pesto is a real workhorse in my kitchen, as sage has a good strong flavor, that goes well with so many things. It freezes well, too, so I make huge quantities of it, which I freeze to use through the winter. ;o)
It's delicious with pork - grilled or roasted. Also luscious on roasted butternut squash- or any of the winter squashes for that matter. My family has also eaten it with chicken and pasta as well. Just about anything that likes sage would go well with it.
